A-4125 Platinum LSR Silicone Elastomer – 28 Shore A
A-4125 is a two-component, platinum-catalyzed Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) designed for healthcare, medical device, prosthetic, and specialty silicone applications. This clear, pigmentable silicone has a 10:1 mix ratio and cures to approximately 28 Shore A, providing a flexible elastomer with excellent strength and elongation.
A-4125 is flowable and self-leveling, making it suitable for both injection molding and casting applications. This is a heat-cure silicone and requires elevated temperature to cure; it is not an RTV silicone. Cure time will vary based on temperature, mold material, mold design, and part size. Post-curing is not required to achieve typical physical properties.
The manufacturer reports that A-4125 meets or exceeds USP Class IV testing requirements, with biocompatibility testing addressing cytotoxicity, skin sensitization, and skin irritation categories specified in ISO 10993.
